Assembly technician for on-board equipment

Description

Satellite assembly technicians are responsible for assembling space-qualified electronic circuits for use on board satellites. Due to the specific nature and demands of this role, eligible applicants must possess an ESA-approved certificate. The following certificate, awarded by the European Space Agency (ESA), is available: Repair and modification of circuit boards. Certifications recognised by the ESA are issued by High Bury College in the United Kingdom. They are valid for 2 years from the date of issue. These operators are required to refresh their qualification every two years. Companies themselves are responsible for ensuring that their workers attend these courses.

Tasks

  • Assemble and solder the electronic components of the system.
  • Oversee the microwiring of the circuit.
  • Manage the system and equipment assembly.
