Description

In the field of maintenance and industrial cleaning, these professionals are essential during the production process because they ensure the necessary conditions of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety to maintain the quality of the production process. Specifically, they are in charge of carrying out cleaning and disinfection services, with the material means and specific equipment, applying the appropriate techniques and procedures for the cleaning of horizontal and vertical surfaces (floors, walls, flat roofs, etc.), furniture and/or other elements that are the object of the service, within a given industry.

Currently, there are a large number of sectors such as the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries; hospitals or clinics; the food, electronics industry, micro-mechanical, space, chemical and optical industries, etc., which have clean rooms and require specific cleaning. These rooms are spaces specially designed to obtain low levels of contamination and must have strictly controlled environmental parameters: airborne particles, temperature, humidity, air flow, internal air pressure, and lighting. When these professionals work inside a cleanroom, a set of safety measures must be implemented, such as sterility (elimination of suspended particles and microorganisms), using a special suit to protect oneself and the elements being handled.

Likewise, these professionals intervene in other types of spaces and industries where there is a specific cleaning that considers certain environmental and safety parameters, such as cleaning applied to waste treatment, deep cleaning of factories and machinery, cleaning of ventilation ducts or loading and unloading areas, etc.

These professionals must know and use different techniques (pressurised water, dry steam, pressurised sand, ultrasound, etc.), professional machinery (sweeping machines, polishing machines, professional hoovers, etc.) and specific products (ozone, special foams, whiteners, etc.) to achieve an adequate and effective cleaning for a specific industry or finish.

  • Carry out cleaning by means of manual means and/or specific machinery (polishers, sweepers, industrial hoovers, injection and extraction machines, etc.).
  • Apply different industrial cleaning techniques, such as ultrasonic cleaning, pressure cleaning or dry steam cleaning, etc., according to the industry and requirements.
  • Complement work control delivery notes and communicate and/or manage service incidents, both real and potential, in order to apply the necessary corrective and/or preventive measures.
  • Comply with the integrated policy of the management system, the code of ethics and conduct, occupational health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and customers standards/requirements applicable in the different work centres, as well as good practices in waste management and separation.
