The Quality Manager within the area of logistics, hierarchically subordinate to the Director of Logistics, is in charge of two fundamental aspects: The quality of supplies and distribution services. Oversee that suppliers and supply staff of the company carry out properly the established procedures and that the distribution staff or subcontractors comply with quality security procedures in relation to the finished product and its dispatch. This position is subordinate to the Logistics Director (hierarchically) and to the Quality Director (functionally)


This professional may have to handle the introduction of quality management systems in the logistics department of the company (logistic, supply and purchasing procedures,...) in accordance with the systems, handbooks and procedures approved by the management.
  • Implement the start-up of the quality management system in partnership with the persons in charge of the logistics departments of the company, ensuring the application of procedures and the completion of forms and records approved according to the quality policy of the company.
  • Ensure that suppliers (of both materials and products and logistic services) follow the relevant procedures and fill in the documentation specified in the quality system.
  • Review, together with the operational managers in charge of the logistics department, the fulfilment of the quality plans, helping identify potential problems and proposing solutions.
  • Carry out the relevant internal quality audits.
  • Handle and implement supplier quality control (in terms of both products and services).
  • Together with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, review the extent and improvement of quality standards, as well as areas of cooperation for the improvement of quality.
  • Advise the director on quality related matters.
