Description

Quality control is the set of mechanisms, actions and tools carried out to detect the presence of defects in products, processes or services in order to ensure that the product or service meets expectations and legal standards. For this reason, all industries and companies from public and private sectors perform quality management.

This professional is responsible for the quality system in the company. Assumes the direction of the development, implementation, execution and maintenance phases of the quality plan and is responsible for the application of ISO quality practices in the company.

The workplace for a quality manager may be an office but also a laboratory. Travel within the country or abroad may be required, for example, to visit costumers, conduct supplier audits, meet to agree on quality plans or investigate issues.

Tasks

  • Assumes the direction of development, implementation, execution, maintenance and review of the quality system in the company.
    Establishes quality policies and objectives.
    Defines quality standards, indicators, ratios and control parameters.
    Carries out the relevant internal quality audits.
    Ensures that all members of the company are aware of quality policies and practices.
  • Verifies that suppliers and procurement personnel of the company follow the established quality procedures and complete the planned documentation.
  • Pays special attention to the fact that managers and personnel of the distribution fulfil the quality requirements for the finished product and its delivery to the customers.
  • Helps to preserve the company¿s standards, reputation and recognition.
