Companies increasingly tend to automate their production processes. Within the framework of this growing automation, robotisation allows tasks to be carried out that guarantee higher levels of productivity and quality, and also allows to avoid workplace accidents.

These professionals are responsible for the correct operation of the production process and its phases (manufacturing, quality, maintenance, logistics and purchases) using these production resources, ensuring the minimisation of any interruptions due to technical incidents and the maximisation of automated-robotic processes. Normally, they depend on the production or industry manager, or the plant manager.

• Responsible for the proper operation of the automatic-robotic lines of the production process.
• Schedule, organise and supervise the production process of these production lines.
• Ensure the fulfilment of the production plans in accordance with the objectives related to quality, costs, previously established delivery periods, occupational risk prevention and respect for the environment. Ensure the proper operation of the supply and logistics.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of the automatic-robotic lines so that downtimes are minimal.
• Adapt the line organisation criteria and structure in order to achieve productivity and efficiency levels. Train staff on the proper operation of automatic-robotic lines.
• Study and propose the acquisition of new equipment and machinery to improve and update the line.
• Manage continuous improvements of production and quality and propose technical improvements for the automatic-robotic lines.
• Collaborate with the technical department to design equipment and components to be used to improve the automated line and participate in projects for the line's technological improvement.
