Digital Record Producer

Description

The musical producer is the professional that directs the musical creation, be it a record, or an event or any other type of musical performance. They have an overall vision that is external to the creation and, therefore, can guide different professionals who are involved so that there are optimal results. New technologies have become an essential tool for the current development and production of musical creations. This figure produces and records newly created musical forms using digital support and helps guide the musical composer in the use of new ways of recording based on new technologies. directs the musical creation, be it a record, or an event or any other type of musical performance. The musical producer is responsible for 50% of the success of the record: for the skill of seeing the group, the sound quality, musical arrangements, overall result of the musical composition, purity of the voices and the control over the sounds.

Tasks

  • Supervise and run all music editing.
    The person in charge of directing the whole process of recording a record and other productions: from the initial advice to the composer or the singer to the final edition and arrangement of recorded product.
  • Participate in the definition of compositions and recording the record.
    Advise the composer on the definition of musical compositions and the use of new technologies for his work.
    Choose the best tracks to be recorded.
    Direct the recording of the tracks or sometimes do it directly.
    Work directly with the sound engineer to make the recording.
  • Select the content of the record.
    Filter and select the best recorded tracks for later mixing.
    Select a series of the best musical compositions to create a record with a homogeneous style.
  • Publish the record.
    Take responsibility for the final edition of the record, the combination of the best tracks and sounds.
    Use all type of specialized programs and computer products for editing the recording.
    Often required to make the final arrangements of the record if an independent arranger is not available: Correct voices and control the sounds.
    Add all types of sound effects as necessary.
  • Lead the relationship of artists with the record label.
    Will be the top person in charge of relations between the group, composer or singer and publishing house or record label with respect to all music.
